The past 48 hours have brought both good and bad news for LG fans who counted on seeing more than justthe G5 showcased at the 2016 Mobile World Congress, as the mid-range X cam, X screen, and Stylus 2 phones were pre-announced, while the LG Pay digital wallet service stumbled on another delay.

Not to worry, as Samsung Pay’s direct rival should debut sometime in Q2, possibly alongside four extra members of the newly inaugurated X family. We can’t be sure Twitter gossipmonger @evleaks isn’t venturing (educated) guesses right now, but even if he is, we must admit prospective X max, X speed, X style, and X power handhelds sound fairly plausible.

Based on what the X lineup’s first two “specialist” models have to offer, we’re assuming an LG X max would be all about sheer size, the X speed could pack an unusually zippy processor for a non-flagship device, the X style would target fashionistas with a slim profile, smooth curves and swanky build materials, and finally, the X power shall likely haul a massive battery.

“Something for everyone” is apparently LG’s new company motto, though there’s no word on when exactly will all these niche-oriented products materialize. “Later in the year” could mean next month, next quarter or December.
