Google Nexus 6P Gold Edition was recently available for purchase in Japan. Now, Huawei has officially confirmed the launch of Nexus 6P Gold Edition with 64GB built-in storage in India. The Nexus 6P with 64GB storage is currently available in Aluminum, Graphite, and Frost color variants priced at Rs.42,999. The Special Edition Nexus 6P in Gold color is Rs. 1,000 costlier than the standard Nexus 6P and is priced at Rs. 43,999.

Commenting on the announcement, Allen Wang, President, Huawei India, said, “The Huawei Nexus 6P has been well received by the Indian audience and keeping in mind the niche target group, we have introduced the Gold color Special Edition of the smartphone. At Huawei, we use the cutting-edge manufacturing technique combined with the latest and innovative software technology to provide the best-in-class product.



Along with the Nexus 5X, Google has also officially launched the high-end Nexus 6P smartphone in India. The Nexus 6P is priced at Rs. 39,999 for the 32GB variant and Rs. 42999 for the 64GB variant. The device will be available online exclusively via Flipkart with pre-order starting from today 2 PM and will also be available through offline channels from October 21st. The Nexus 6P also comes with free Chromecast, Bluetooth speaker, double data offer for Airtel customers.

Google has unveiled their latest flagship phablet called Nexus 6P made by Huawei in an event held in San-Francisco on September 29. Along with the Nexus 6P Google also took wraps off the smaller LG made Nexus 5X and Pixel C tablet. The Huawei built Nexus 6P is an upgrade over last year’s Nexus 6 and its better in every aspect.

The device will be launched in three variants with 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB of internal storages and are priced at $499, $549, and $649 respectively. The pre-orders have started in the U.S, UK, Ireland, and Japan from Sep 29, and the device will be shipped later in October.



The Nexus 6P is the first full metal smartphone, built out of aluminium, and it flaunts a 5.7-inch (1440×2560 pixel) WQHD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and 518ppi as pixel density. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz coupled with 3GB RAM.

It sports a 12.3MP rear camera with dual LED flash, laser autofocus and an 8MP front-facing camera with a f/2.2 aperture for video calling and selfie lovers. The connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port.

The main highlight of the device is the new fingerprint sensor, “Nexus Imprint,” placed below the camera on the rear side that Google says it gives users a quick and secure access to the phone. The fingerprint sensor is claimed to recognise a print in less than 600 milliseconds, and it unlocks the device with a single touch on the fingerprint sensor. Apart from the new Nexus Imprint, the device also features a USB Type-C port and dual front-facing speakers.

The device comes packed with a 3450mAh battery with quick charge support and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It is just 7.3 mm thick, weighs 178 grams and will be available in colors- Metallic Silver, Sports White, and Carbon Black.
