Microsoft is today releasing the Xbox One S. The company announced the device back in E3 2016 a few months ago and those who pre-ordered the device will be receiving their new Xbox today. Microsoft’s Xbox One S starts at $299, but the company is only releasing the 2TB variant of the console, which comes in at $399. As for the other 1TB and 500GB variants, Microsoft has already started taking pre-orders, but those will be shipping later.

  • Xbox One S offers a great value as one of the top 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray players on the market – which means you can watch your favorite movies in stunning 4K. The 2TB launch edition Xbox One S will be available for $399 USD with 1TB and 500GB Xbox One S options starting at $299 USD over the coming weeks.
  • You can play over 100 console exclusives, and with High Dynamic Range (HDR) support for video and gaming, Xbox One titles like Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Scalebound andNBA 2K17 will look even better thanks to a higher contrast ratio between lights and darks, bringing out the true visual depth of your favorite games. And don’t forget about the growing library of backward compatible Xbox 360 games.
  • You can also stream movies or TV shows in 4K Ultra HD with content from partners like Netflix available now. More content from Amazon Video and others is on the way!
  • Xbox One S is 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One, featuring a built-in power supply. No more brick!

In terms of specs, the Xbox One S is 40%  smaller than the original Xbox One, which means the new Xbox is pretty small when compared to the original Xbox. The Xbox One S also has an internal power brick, which is a sweet upgrade from the older Xbox One. There’s also some new features such HDR support, 4K Ultra HD video playback, and a vertical stand. In addition to this, Microsoft is also releasing an updated Xbox One Wireless Controller for the One S, which comes with Bluetooth that will allow users to use the controller with their Windows 10 PCs, too.

We will have a full review of the Xbox One S pretty soon — in the meantime, if you want to buy one for yourself, you can get it from the links below.
