Hot on the heels of one report that suggested Apple is going to release new MacBook Pro computers next month, MacRumors is back with its own report.
The website said that Apple will launch the new MacBook Pro, including a 15-inch model with an AMD “Polaris” graphics chip, during the second half of next month.
The site suggested that Apple is currently in the final stages of testing new macOS 10.12.1 software that will support Siri integration — already part of macOS Sierra — and the highly-rumored and expected OLED bar that will reportedly exist above the keyboard.
The secondary OLED display is expected to serve several purposes, including allowing customizable icons for quick launching applications, interacting with Siri, controlling music or video playback and more.
MacRumors reiterated reports that Apple is also working on a new 5K display built by LG, a new MacBook Air and new iMacs, but didn’t clarify if those, too, are expected to launch next month.
October is shaping up to be quite busy. Google will also unveil new hardware, including its Pixel smartphones, during an event on October 4. Apple has not yet set a date for unveiling new laptops.
