In a media event in New Delhi, Vivo has launched yet another selfie centric smartphone named Vivo Y66, which sports a 16MP camera on the front with a ‘Moonlight Glow’ feature and a LED flash.
Vivo Y66 comes with a 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS LCD panel with 2.5D curved glass on top. An octa-core Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 (Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53) along with Adreno 505 powers this device. It packs 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card upto 256GB. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top.
In the camera department, it houses a 13MP f/2.2 system that is assisted by autofocus and single LED flash. On the front, it sports a 16MP f/2.0 system with a single LED flash.
A non-removable 3000 mAh battery fuels this device. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB v2.0, etc.

Vivo Y66 is priced at Rs 14,990 and is available in two color options: Crown Gold and Rose Gold color. It will be available for purchase starting from 20 March across online platforms and brick and mortar stores. At this price, it faces fierce competition from Redmi Note 4, Honor 6x, etc. Also, Redmi Note 4 is debuting in offline stores which may dent the Vivo Y66 sales.
